trying to get the hang of watercolours

i don’t know anything about watercolours yet so i  bound a whole bunch of watercolour pages into my sketchbook to practice more

as usual sorry for the bad pic quality

one of these days I will scan and upload my sketchbook pages

but for now, all i have are shitty phone photos

since my camera has no charge and i forgot to keep the charger for it, and our scanners are packed up

Today’s post: art assignment. We had to “draw” on the paper with smoke and then make it into an actual art piece. Due to my lack of imagination and unwillingness to really fuck with what was already there, I ended up with these.

I forgot to put up a picture for yesterday, so here are the two sketchbook pages I’ve been mussing with for the past three days.

Forgive the low quality photos: I’m in the middle of a move and the scanner is packed up, so until probably August or December I’ll only have my camera to get traditional stuff online…and I do a shit tonne of traditional now soooo

the scanner i was using was a piece of shit anyway :>

I haven’t drawn Diction in a while, mostly because I haven’t featured him in any of my comic projects yet..which will be remedied once I get off my lazy ass.

Let’s say June 1st, I’ll start putting up my comic project…yeah.

Let’s also say I’m going to attempt to post at least one thing a day from now on. :>

so i just finished binding my next sketchbook and just now i realized i don’t like the way i bound it

except it’s glued in place so there’s that. next time i’m going to try to do a belgian secret binding but only 120 pages after i finish my current journal (the coptic on the right with the goldfish on it)

i’m also in an art class for the first time in two years but it’s not very labour intensive at all and it has brought out my special skill

my special skill is drawing everything at a very slight angle so that it looks ever so slightly off but you have no idea why

sometimes at work they make me do the chalkboard but i don’t know how to use chalk effectively so they always get a mess when i finish

also sometimes they change their mind after i’ve finished so it makes things look weird because they want to keep what’s already there

i’m sorry this is what i’m doing with my life instead of scanning my shit in

i guess this counts as art but only sort of so i’m going to post it here so this blog doesn’t gather cobwebs
