I’m not a mathematician, but as a Toponymist I need to do a lot of work on maps that are incomplete when making my naming suggestions, so when I have to divide a map into precise areas the trigonometry comes in handy.

We’re proud to introduce the fourth of the five main character of Ask Pun and Friends. From Pun Pony’s home city of Canterlot, Rubik is Melony’s boyfriend and an all around sweet colt. He joins Pun Pony, Marigold and Melony in our roster of ponies!

Doctor Whooves came to town not too long ago, but he’s rather popular with some of the mares. He’s not my style though; I like my doctors more reserved, patient, extra tall, two color mane… but if your style of doctor is a short tempered playpony with ‘issues’ and a love for butter then you should check out Discorded Dr. Whooves.

The Equestrian ruling system is fairly straight-forward. The Princesses reign at the top, with their own inner hierarchy. Beneath them are the elected politicians of each area as governors, though their titles vary by the size of the city such as governor (Manehattan), mayor (Ponyville) or representative (Appleoosa). The members of the royal court like myself don’t hold any official power other than our titles, as the royal court functions as a body of influential, knowledgeable and skilled individuals that the governors and princesses may call upon to solve problems or answer questions. The solutions of the royal court are then passed to the relevant governors to implement at their discretion, though it is generally frowned upon to disregard the requested advice.

I’d like to formally introduce everypony to my cousin Marigold! You’ve seen her before. She’s one of my best friends in Ponyville, and taught me a lot about managing my finances. Look forward to seeing more of her and my other friends in the future! She joins Melony and Pun for introduced characters. Two more to go!

Marigold, or “Ms. Gold” as she prefers to be called, turned her talent with flowers into a thriving business. She runs “Golden Gardens” with the slogan “Gardening in great taste” and employs many of the ponies who perform landscaping around Ponyville. She’s easily one of the wealthiest ponies in town, but rarely takes the time to enjoy her wealth and instead focuses her resources back into growing her business and influencing regional politics. She is Pun’s first cousin, from her mother’s sister. Though Marigold has many suitors, nearly all are only after her wealth. she’s determined not to get romantically involved with anypony who can’t keep up with her business sense.

Marigold is rather involved in the local politics, as a tax increase or regulation change can significantly affect her business. She’s the sort that has a weekly lunch with the mayor of Ponyville.

Hah! That’s Marigold, my cousin who runs Golden Gardens. Of course, she prefers to go by ‘Ms. Gold’ when she’s doing business… and she does quite a bit of business! Her landscaping company employs dozens of ponies around Ponyville, and you’ll be seeing more of her and my other friends pretty soon!
